More Monster Hunter 4 details have been revealed. Taking hits from Tigrex will now infect the player with the Mad Dragon Virus. If the gauge fills, whether by taking too much time or too many attacks, the player will not be able to automatically recover. Beating the disease by inflicting enough of a beating on the Tigrex will temporarily boost Affinity.
Contamination with the Goa Magara’s scales will also allow it to track the player and cause a general debuff.
