This was a day of sales milestones; Sony announced 70 million PS3 and 15 million Move units shipped worldwide, while the latest weekly figures show 1 million 3DS XLs sold to consumers in Japan alone since launch.
Sega’s first Model 2 Collection, including Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers, and Sonic the Fighters, will release on PSN and XBLA on 11/28. The PS3 set is available for 1,500 with individual games 800; on X360, each game will be 400 MSP.
The PS3 Weekly Toro Station service will cease operation on 3/28. Beginning March 1st, paid services will be free; previous paying users will receive a special present.
Street Fighter x Capcom will receive its 2013 content patch on January 29th. The patch was originally planned for mid-December.
Due to a delayed patch, Japanese X360 Assassin’s Creed III players are currently unable to play online with overseas players. The delayed patch is expected to release next Thursday night.
Nippon Ichi is holding a contest to name several Disgaea D2 weapons. Entries are open until the 30th of this month.
